Welcome

Welcome everyone to post #1 of Brad's Overland.

I am creating this blog as a place to document the modifications (and repairs) of my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited as well as my home built trailer. I also like getting out an exploring the backroads around BC, especially around my home in Kelowna. I hope to be able to document some of these adventures through this blog as well.

I support and encourage responsible wheeling and want to bring awareness to this activity so that our backcountry will remain open to the public.  For this reason I suggest those of you that believe the same purchase a membership to the 4 Wheel Drive Association of BC.

The builds... as mentioned earlier, at the top of my page you will see the links to two build threads. One is for my Jeep, a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited, and the other for my trailer.  My Jeep is my baby, I've had it for about 2 and a half years now and it grows on me each and every time I drive it. Its taken me to some really amazing places that few people have seen. My trailer was a project that I jumped into head first about a year ago, in Feb 2015. Starting with an old utility trailer I was able to convert it into a practical, comfortable and relatively affordable off-road teardrop in 5 short months. Having the trailer in a usable state was a huge accomplishment for me since I had pushed myself out of my fabrication comfort zone. Through these I hope you find something that interests you or gets you thinking about your own project.

I also want to apologize for the first few posts, as I will want to add some content to the blog which will have occurred over the last few years. (I have no doubt you'll get the sense I like having everything all in one place).

Thanks for reading and I hope to see you out on the trails!
